ENGL 206: British Literature II

REQUIRED TEXTS

Please use the editions listed. The "isbn" number uniquely indicates the edition and can be used for ordering books. Books will be available at Follet's (University bookstore) and possibly at Rainbow Books, Main Street. (Many of these books cost $1.00. We will not be using the Norton Anthology.)

Recommended reference book: M.H. Abrams, A Glossary of Literary Terms (available at Morris Library in the reference department, PN41.A184 1993).

REQUIREMENTS

One in-class report on an author or a topic.

Four 4-page, close-reading papers, due:

For one paper, you may substitute an intellectually creative response to the text (a parody, a collage, a soundtrack, etc.).

One final 6-page paper, due Wednesday, December 5.
