We will use the editions of the novels that are listed above. You should
read each novel's endnotes and other editorial matter (appendices, notes
on the text) as well as the text.
REQUIREMENTS
Two 4-page close readings.
Due: Thursday, September 23 & Tuesday, November 2
One final 8-page paper, due Tuesday, December 7
One class presentation (pass/fail)
In addition:
* Individual conferences will be held during the semester.
* You must use your email account. We will have assignments and
occasional questions handled via email.
* More than two absences will lower your final grade; class participation
is expected.
