Beyond Leaning In with Melanie Ho

Author and visual storyteller Melanie Ho will discuss the research behind her award-winning book, Beyond Leaning In: Gender Equity and What Organizations are Up Against, a Silver medalist at the 2022 Axiom Business Book Awards. Learn about Melanie’s journey through Alternative Academic (AltAC) career paths which culminated in writing this novelized diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) book. Melanie Ho, Ph.D. is an award-winning author, speaker, and workshop facilitator who has worked with leaders at Fortune 500 companies, leading universities, national non-profits, and small start-ups on organizational design, future visioning, leadership development, and DEI. She previously served as SVP of Research at EAB Global, an education technology and services firm in Washington, DC, where she led a team of 100+ consultants that provided strategic and operational advice to 1500+ universities worldwide. Her recent book, Beyond Leaning In: Gender Equity and What Organizations are Up Against, is a 2022 Axiom Award recipient, an award which recognizes the world’s best business books.
