Professor Louise Hornby is the Vice Chair for Undergraduate Studies.
The Vice Chair for Undergraduate Studies is the academic supervisor of the English Undergraduate Counseling Office. Although most routine questions can be answered by the advising staff, any issues that cannot be addressed through meetings with advising staff will be referred to the Vice Chair.
For routine UCLA English Department counseling, students should go to the Undergraduate Advising Office before going to the Vice Chair for Undergraduate Studies. The Vice Chair is not responsible for admissions or hiring decisions.
