Hammer Museum Poetry Reading with Jennifer Moxley

California native Jennifer Moxley’s most recent collection of poems Druthers (Flood 2018) “elegantly characterizes poetry as a vehicle for immortality” (Publishers Weekly). Her book The Open Secret (Flood 2014) was awarded the 2015 William Carlos Williams award, and was a finalist for the Kingsley Tufts award. Moxley is Professor of Poetry and Poetics at the University of Maine.

Dedicated to the memory of Doris Curran, this series, which has provided a stimulating forum for nationally and internationally known poets for fifty years, is co-sponsored by the Friends of English and the UCLA Office of Cultural and Recreational Affairs.
