Reed Wilson has a PhD and BA from UCLA, and teaches in both the English Department and Writing Programs. His poems have appeared in a number of journals, including The Antioch Review, The Chattahoochee Review, Natural Bridge, and The Summerset Review, and his book reviews have appeared in Poetry International, The Chattahoochee Review, and The Summerset Review. He was founding Director of UCLA’s Undergraduate Research Center for Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, serves as Faculty Advisor to Westwind (UCLA’s literary journal), and is Southwest Regional Director of the Forum for Undergraduate Student Editors (FUSE). His interests include 20th and 21st century poetry, American literature and culture, writing pedagogy and Zen Buddhism, and he enjoys training for the annual AIDS/Lifecycle ride (San Francisco to Los Angeles), spending time with his cats and dogs, and riding his motorcycle as fast as possible through twisty California canyons.
