Justin Torres’ novel, “We the Animals,” is included in The New York Times The 100 Best Books of the 21st Century. “We the Animals” is number 66 on the list. Torres’ debut work hit shelves in 2011 and became a national bestseller. It was adapted into a film in 2018. Torres’ latest novel, “Blackouts,” received the National Book Award in 2023 and was also named a finalist for a National Book Critics Circle Award.
