Stephen Yenser, organizer of the Hammer’s long-running poetry series, hosts Waywiser Press’s 15th annual Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize reading. Waywiser’s American editor Joseph Harrison will outline this prestigious award’s history, and the Press’s founder and chief editor Philip Hoy will introduce the poets. Ed Hirsch, the distinguished poet, MacArthur Fellow, fourth president of the Guggenheim Foundation, and judge of this year’s competition, who selected James Davis’s manuscript Club Q., will introduce Davis and his poems. Both poets will read from their work.
