Hammer Museum Poetry Reading with Jennifer Moxley

California native Jennifer Moxley’s most recent collection of poems Druthers (Flood 2018) “elegantly characterizes poetry as a vehicle for immortality” (Publishers Weekly).  Her book The Open Secret (Flood 2014) was awarded the 2015 William Carlos Williams award, and was a finalist for the Kingsley Tufts award. Moxley is Professor of Poetry and Poetics at the University of Maine.

Admission to the event is free.  Please arrive early.  Dedicated to the memory of Doris Curran, this series, which has provided a stimulating forum for nationally and internationally known poets for fifty years, is co-sponsored by the Friends of English and the UCLA Office of Cultural and Recreational Affairs.
