Hammer Museum Poetry Reading with Mihaela Moscaliuc & Michael Waters

Mihaela Moscaliuc was born and raised in Romania. She is the author of the poetry collections Immigrant Model and Father Dirt, translator of Carmelia Leonte’s The Hiss of the Viper and Liliana Ursu’s Clay and Star, and editor of Insane Devotion: On the Writing of Gerald Stern. The recipient of two Glenna Luschei Awards from Prairie Schooner, residency fellowships from Le Chateau de Lavigny and VCCA, and a former Fulbright Scholar, she teaches at Monmouth University and in the Drew University low-residency MFA Program.

Michael Waters is a 2017 Guggenheim Fellow. His books include The Dean of Discipline (2018), Celestial Joyride (2016), Gospel Night (2011), Darling Vulgarity (2006—finalist for the L.A. Times Book Prize) and Parthenopi: New and Selected Poems (2001—finalist for the Paterson Poetry Prize). He has co-edited Reel Verse (Knopf, 2018), Contemporary American Poetry (2006) and Perfect in Their Art (2003). He teaches at Monmouth University and in the Drew University MFA Program.
