Samantha Morse wins Distinguished Teaching Award for Teaching Assistants

Congratulations to Samantha Morse, who has been selected by the Academic Senate Committee on Teaching to receive the Distinguished Teaching Award for Teaching Assistants. Samantha is one of only five awardees selected from a large field of extraordinary nominees.
In a short video that gives a lively sense of Samantha’s teaching philosophy, she emphasizes the importance of close reading: a passion so infectious that her students report using the reading techniques they learned from her even on medical and legal texts in their later careers.
