Michael Rothberg Awarded 2023 Guggenheim Fellowship
Congratulations to Professor Michael Rothberg who was awarded a 2023 Guggenheim Fellowship!
Created in 1925 by Simon and Olga Guggenheim in memory of their son John Simon Guggenheim, the foundation has offered fellowships to exceptional individuals in pursuit of scholarship in any field of knowledge and creation in any art form, under the freest possible conditions. Rothberg is a professor of English and Comparative Literature and the 1939 Society Samuel Goetz Chair in Holocaust Studies. He is also co-organizer of the Working Group in Memory Studies, an affiliate of the Alan D. Leve Center for Jewish Studies, and, as of July 1, 2021, chair of the Department of Comparative Literature.
